The Doctors and Staff at South Grand are dedicated to providing the highest level of care for your four legged family members. Offering genuine care, comfort and high-quality veterinary medicine for our patients and clients is our highest mission. Our Staff celebrates a love of pets and people and strive to instill a sense of well-being in all the people they interact with.

We offer a full range of Veterinary Medicine for your pet to include but not limited to Life Care exams, vaccination plans tailored to your pets life style, dental care and prevention, diagnostics, emergency care, cancer/chemo treatments, surgery, and care for your senior pets.

  • Dr. Rush

    Dr. Rush is a Washington State University graduate from the class of 2002. He spent 3 years on the Oregon coast in Coos Bay working in a mixed animal practice before settling down here in Spokane Washington. He assumed ownership of South Grand Veterinary Clinic in April 2005 and has not looked back since. He thoroughly enjoys his opportunity to practice Veterinary Medicine up on the South Hill. Surgery has been a continued interest for him as well as Geriatric Medicine. Spending time with clients has always been a soft spot for him. Of course he always enjoys the puppies and kittens that come in.

    He is married to Kathryn Rush and has 4 children. His weekends are usually spent supporting one of the various sporting events for the kids. During the winter he enjoys snowboarding. 
  • Dr. Miller

    Associate Veterinarian 

    Dr. Cassandra Miller went to undergraduate school at Eastern Washington University where she was awarded her Bachelor of Science degree. Then she attended graduate school at Midwestern University in Arizona where she obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. 

    After spending some time in the desert, Miller and her longtime boyfriend decided to move back to Spokane, Washington to be back with family and plant their roots. Cassandra loves all outdoor activities like running, hiking, and mountain biking with Billy and their dog Zoey. Miller loves creative cooking such as pan seared scallops, risotto, grilling and smoking meat. You can also find her at BBQ’s and enjoying time with her family.

    Cassandra is very passionate about veterinary medicine, caring for animals, and fostering the human-animal bond, and is thrilled to be able to provide this care to the Spokane community.

  • Rosalie Trapani

    Rosalie is our receptionist and has 13 years experience as a technician assistant/licensed technician. She has lived many places but now after 10 years calls Spokane home. You will know she is originally from Texas when you hear her say y'all! When not at work you will find her in the vegetable garden, cooking or walking around one of the beautiful parks in Spokane.                

  • Somer Hart

    Lead Technician
    Meet Somer, she joined our team at the beginning of 2019, after moving from Idaho. Somer started working in the veterinary field in 2013, she has spent the last several years of her life passionate about veterinary medicine and patient care. She enjoys dentistry, and focuses on reduced-stress techniques for your pets! When not at work; you can find her at a football game with husband, caring for her many plants, or with her chihuahua Bella!

  • Kylee Seefried

    Lead Technician
    Kylee Seefried is one of our veterinary technician who has 13 years of experience. She joined the South Grand family in July of last year and absolutely love's the veterinarian business! In her spare time she enjoy hiking, fishing, camping, and golfing. When at home Kylee can be found playing with her puppy Rosie and her kitty Bonni.

  • Erin Herndon

    Erin has been in the veterinary field for four years now, and a technician for 3 years. Erin joined the south grand family several months ago and has been able to pursue her passion in veterinary medicine. When she is not with her three amazing dogs and two fantastic cats you can find her enjoying drawing, painting, and animations. But most of her time is playing and taking care of her animals.

  • Jazmyn Guisande

    Meet Jazmyn, Also known as Jazz. She is the youngest member of the south grand family and started working with us in October of 2019. She is on course to further her education in veterinary medicine. On Jazmyn’s days off you can find her spending time with her friends, family, or her two rats Rosemary and Basil.

  • Devin Gardner

    Say hello to Devin, she enjoys hanging with friends, going hiking or camping. If she can she will combine these activities with a body of water to make the perfect day for her. Devin is passionate about music, always trying to find a new tune and shows around Spokane.
